Invisalign

Getting things in order

Invisalign is a clear alternative to metal braces. Using transparent, removable retainers Invisalign gradually alters your teeth to bring uniformity and balance.

The treatment is a breakthrough in orthodontics, doing away with uncomfortable wires and brackets, making the whole process easier and smoother.

About the Procedure

As part of a Platinum Invisalign providers group, Dr Kish is experienced in the procedures and processes required to leave you feeling more confident and satisfied with your smile. By guiding you through the treatment, Dr Kish will be there to fix, alter and adjust the braces as needed to create lasting results that you can be proud of.

The procedure itself has several steps, including:

1. Upon first visiting Dr Kish with the treatment in mind, Dr Kish will take some impressions of your teeth to be sent to Invisalign. Your clear aligners are then made in sets which will be used to guide your teeth through the whole process from start to finish. As one set does its job, the next one comes into play.

2. You'll receive your aligners and instructions about how to wear them, take care of them and when you can remove them to brush, eat and floss.

3. Your progress will be monitored through occasional visits to the dentist, where we can check if you're responding to the aligners correctly and if there are any additional adjustments that might need to be made.

4. Once you've worn all the sets of aligners your treatment will be over. To keep the effects there permanently you may be advised to wear a removable retainer at night or have a discrete, out-of-view bonded retainer fitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Invisalign cost?

Like anything, the price varies from person to person. Depending on the type and complexity of aligners and your teeth the treatment can be anywhere from £1,500 to £5,000. We don't want the price to be the deciding factor in sorting out your smile, so we would always encourage you to get in touch to see if we can help out.

How long does the treatment take?

The average treatment takes about 12 to 18 months. For more complex treatments it could be a little longer, but with our experience we'd be able to give a rough estimate fairly soon into the process.

Is it painful?

Not at all. Unlike traditional braces Invisalign is a comfier alternative. Whilst the aligners might take a while to get used to in the beginning, the movement of the teeth is gradual and done in stages so as to avoid any notable pain or discomfort.
