Crowns & Veneers

Capping off the day

As our teeth mature and go through day to day life it's expected that there'll be some damage and hardships along the way.

Sometimes a more in-depth treatment may be needed. Luckily Dr Kish knows how to install and look after your teeth with Crown replacements or Veneers.

About the Procedure

Whether you're affected by tooth decay, pain, damage or discolouration there are some things that Teeth Whitening or Root Canals can't solve. Physical wear and tear is only natural in our teeth, and thanks to Crown replacement and Veneers you can stay feeling ready to chomp and smile long into the future.

Choosing the right procedure can be dependent on a number of factors, which is why Dr Kish is here to help break down which one might be right for you:

Crowns - For teeth that have fillings or fractures your dentist may recommend a Crown replacement. Using porcelain or an alloy, a cap is made which can then be placed onto a reformed and prepared tooth. Once it is fitted to the top of the tooth it is cemented into place, leaving a natural-looking, permanent cap.

Veneers - Similar in material to a Crown, a Veneer's key difference is where it is fitted. These can be fitted to the front of your teeth as a quicker fix to cracked, chipped or crooked teeth. They also provide a more robust and resistant alternative to Composite Bonding whilst also being matched to your teeth's natural colour and shape.

Fillings - A more well-known option to fixing teeth are fillings. As cavities form they can often grow bigger over time if not treated. Through fillings you can ward off decay, erosion, chipping and abrasion. As with Crowns and Veneers, Fillings are a long-lasting treatment that may never need a second visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price difference between Crowns and Veneers?

Sometimes, depending on the necessity, the treatment may be covered by the NHS. Should it not be available, notably in cases where the procedure is cosmetic, the costs differ from person to person and on how much treatment is required or desired. Feel free to Contact Us and find out more about approximate pricings and our advice.

Are these treatments permanent?

In general, yes. Crowns, Veneers and even Fillings can least for years if they are taken care of and no further issues arise. Since they are made from durable materials and properly implanted, there is no reason that they won't last for several years.
